Overview

Summit Spine & Joint Centers’ Greenville office, on Stevens Street, brings pain management in Greenville, SC, to the surrounding Upstate, including Greer, Five Forks, Simpsonville, Piedmont, Clemson, Liberty and Pickens. This is Summit Spine’s first market entry into the South Carolina Upstate, and brand recognition here is still building.

The Greenville location also has an in-house Surgery Center, allowing patients who need more advanced procedures to receive that care on-site rather than being referred to an outside hospital or surgical facility.

Care at the Greenville office is led by Dr. Matt Hamilton, the location’s provider and physician partner. Jeff Meyers, PA also sees patients at this location, giving Greenville patients access to multiple providers for ongoing pain management care.

Most patients calling a pain clinic in Greenville, SC want two things confirmed before booking: how fast they can be seen, and whether their insurance is accepted. Insurance and workers’ compensation claims are verified ahead of the first visit, and most new patients are seen within a week of calling.

The office is newly open, and the goal for this page is building durable trust with Upstate patients that lasts well past the opening period, not leaning on new-office urgency to carry the page long-term.

Conditions

Patients at the Greenville office come in with a range of neck, back and joint pain, including:

  • Herniated Disc: often traced back to a specific lifting injury or years of repetitive strain on the lower back.
  • Degenerative Disc Disease: the gradual disc breakdown that shows up on imaging as people move into their 40s, 50s and beyond.
  • Lumbar Radiculopathy (Sciatica): nerve pain that runs from the lower back into the hip, thigh or calf.
  • Spinal Stenosis: narrowing of the spinal canal that tends to show up as leg pain when walking or standing for more than a few minutes.
  • Facet Joint Pain: stiffness and localized pain from the small joints that let the spine bend and twist.
  • Post-Laminectomy Syndrome (Failed Back Syndrome): ongoing pain after a previous spine surgery that didn’t fully resolve the problem.
  • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS): pain disproportionate to an original injury, usually in an arm or leg.
  • Fibromyalgia: widespread muscle pain and tenderness, often paired with fatigue and poor sleep.
  • Back Pain: general lower or upper back pain that hasn’t improved with rest, over-the-counter medication or physical therapy.

Both procedures are performed on-site, without a referral to an outside surgical facility.

The Greenville office offers all 19 standard non-surgical treatments, plus two procedures available on-site through the Surgery Center:
