Cervical Facet Radiofrequency Neurotomy is a minimally-invasive procedure, also called cervical radio frequency ablation (or RFA). This treatment reduces or eliminates the pain in the cervical (neck) area of the body. A probe is heated to 80 degrees celsius and a physician, using a guided fluoroscope, heats the nerve. The heating of the nerve causes the pain sensation to stop. This treatment can last up to two years.
