Chike Madu, MD is a board-certified interventional pain management physician dedicated to helping patients regain function and improve their quality of life through comprehensive, evidence-based care.
Born in New York City and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut, Dr. Madu graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, in 2012, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Human Rights while playing varsity football all four years. After graduation, he served as an aide to U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal before pursuing a career in medicine.
Dr. Madu earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, in 2019. He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Miami (FL). After residency, he completed an additional year of fellowship training in Pain Medicine at the University of South Florida, where he developed advanced expertise in the diagnosis and interventional treatment of complex pain conditions.
Dr. Madu specializes in treating chronic spine and joint pain. He believes in a comprehensive, individualized approach that combines minimally invasive interventional procedures with physical therapy, rehabilitation strategies, and multimodal medication management to improve function while minimizing reliance on opioids whenever possible. He also performs a wide range of advanced, image-guided procedures. He remains committed to incorporating the latest evidence-based technologies and minimally invasive techniques to provide patients with the broadest range of available treatment options.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Madu enjoys traveling to visit friends and family, staying active through sports and fitness, and following NYC-based professional sports teams. He is also an avid motorsports enthusiast who enjoys watching Formula One, IndyCar racing, and competing in virtual racing simulations in his free time.
