Dr. Gianoli is double board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in
Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine. He graduated with a Bachelor of
Science in Biomedical Mechanical Engineering from Trinity College, a Masters of
Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and
magna cum laude with his doctorate from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr.
Gianoli completed his General Surgery internship at Wright State University, then his
Anesthesiology residency at University of Connecticut. He completed his fellowship
training in Interventional Pain Management at University of Vermont. Dr. Gianoli is
also trained in medical acupuncture through the Helms Medical Institute. After
completing his fellowship training, he worked at Hartford Hospital for over a decade.
At Hartford Hospital, Dr. Gianoli was the Chair of the Chronic Pain Management and
the Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Care Services.
He also served as the Medical Director of the pain clinic at Harford Hospital for approximately 6 years. Dr.
Gianoli is highly skilled in a variety of interventional procedures ranging from neuraxial injections to complex implant procedures such as spinal cord stimulators, peripheral nerve stimulators, indirect decompression devices and intrathecal drug delivery systems.
Dr. Gianoli is committed to helping patients achieve optimal pain relief, restore function and achieve maximum quality of life. He provides thoughtful, compassionate care, and is always striving to help patients regain a sense of
freedom and wholeness. Dr. Gianoli is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physician (ASIPP), American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine as well as the American Academy of Anesthesiologists.
In his spare time, Dr. Gianoli enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 young boys.
