Telemedicine allows you to see a doctor without leaving your house. Using technology, typically a video call, you can meet with a physician to receive the care you need, all in the comfort of your own home. Due to the COVID-19 crisis and in an effort to better accommodate our patients, Summit Spine & Joint Centers is now offering virtual visits for patients throughout the state of Georgia.

How Does Telemedicine Work?

For patients that haven’t used telemedicine before, the process can feel intimidating. However, many video call applications are easier to set up than you might think, and our pain and wellness clinic will make the process as easy as possible for you.

Your telemedicine visit will be scheduled just like a regular appointment, with one of our board-certified physicians at a specific time. However, instead of coming to one of our clinics, you’ll receive instructions on how to meet with your doctor on an online call. You’ll be able to access the virtual meeting on your smartphone, laptop or desktop.

While not applicable for every situation—for example, telemedicine is not appropriate for cases that require emergency care—telemedicine is great for people who need a follow-up appointment, to renew a prescription or to see a pain management specialist for discomfort.

Virtual Visits for Safe, Comfortable Appointments at Home

Our priority at Summit Spine & Joint Centers is keeping our staff and patients safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you need an appointment but would prefer not to visit our pain and wellness clinic in person during this time, we’re now accepting both new and current patients for virtual visits.

Same-day appointments are available and are covered by most insurance plans. You don’t even need to live close to one of our clinics—our virtual platform can accommodate the pain management needs of patients throughout Georgia!
