Dr. Robert S. Westrol

Dr. Robert Westrol’s dedication to pain management stems from a deep personal experience: witnessing a family member’s struggle with chronic back pain. This firsthand encounter ignited a
passion to help others overcome similar challenges. His patient-centered approach is rooted in empathy and a commitment to providing comprehensive, individualized care.

Dr. Westrol’s academic journey includes a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Drexel University
College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a fellowship in pain management at Virginia
Commonwealth University.

Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a subspecialty certification in Pain Medicine, Dr. Westrol is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic
Medicine. Dr. Westrol believes in a comprehensive approach to pain management, prioritizing non- invasive, conservative treatments whenever possible. By focusing on improving mobility,
stability, and strength, he empowers patients to take control of their pain and enhance their quality of life.

When more advanced interventions are necessary, Dr. Westrol utilizes state-of-the-art image-guided techniques to ensure accuracy and minimize discomfort. He is also experienced in
neuromodulation, a proven therapy that targets neural pathways to alleviate pain, particularly in conditions like back pain, leg pain, and diabetic neuropathy.
