Dr. Kwasi Ampomah

Dr. Kwasi Ampomah is double-board-certified physiatrist and interventional pain physician. He completed his undergraduate education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Zoology and a minor in French. Dr. Ampomah attended Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio but prior to that, Dr. Ampomah also received a master’s in public health with a focus on health services management and vulnerable populations from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his internship at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, followed by a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Ampomah completed his pain medicine fellowship at Allegheny Health Network, Drexel consortium, Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Ampomah specializes in the nonsurgical and minimally invasive treatments of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine but also treats headaches, joint pain and arthritis. He prides himself in a holistic and conservative approach to care, but also performs joint injections, epidurals, ablations, spinal cord stimulation and other ultrasound and fluoroscopic guided procedures. Dr. Ampomah has authored multiple journal articles and has had multiple abstract presentations across the country.

Dr. Ampomah is a member of American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Ampomah when not working likes to spend time with his family, modify cars, and play soccer.
