Carl Pulido, MD is a double board certified physician with certifications in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Dr Pulido has 20 years of experience in the practice of medicine.
With strong family ties in Georgia, Dr. Pulido moved to Atlanta in 2012 after completing a Fellowship in Pain Medicine at the prestigious University of Miami School of Medicine Pain Medicine Fellowship Program, 2014 recipient of the “Pain Medicine Fellowship Excellence Award” by the American Academy of Pain Medicine.
Dr. Pulido completed his Anesthesiology Residency training at The University of Connecticut Health Center in 2004 after receiving his medical degree with honors from Central University of Venezuela. Dr. Pulido then gained experience as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where he focused in the areas regional anesthesia for orthopedic surgery, high-risk obstetrics, acute post-operative pain and neurosurgical anesthesia. This acute practice setting developed his interest in the treatment of painful conditions.
Since completing his pain management fellowship in 2012, Dr. Pulido has devoted his time to the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain syndromes and enjoys the opportunity of helping patients facing diverse and challenging conditions such as chronic low back and neck pain, chronic post traumatic and postoperative pain, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), degenerative joint disease, post herpetic neuralgia, pelvic and abdominal pain. With the use of minimally invasive techniques such as peripheral nerve and spinal cord stimulation Dr Pulido can provide effective treatment of complex and debilitating chronic painful syndromes.
Dr. Pulido is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Georgia Society of Anesthesiologist, Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the North American Neuromodulation Society.
In his free time, Pulido enjoys the great outdoors either mountain biking or trail running. He has also devoted his time organizing and volunteering as a mountain biker for “search and rescue” organizations in Connecticut and Georgia and has obtained the President’s Volunteer Service Award for his service to the community. Dr. Pulido loves spending time outdoors with family and friends.
